[Official Announcement] The 3rd Greater Bay Area Model Show | The Largest Gathering of Global Model Brands

Within the current landscape of major domestic exhibitions, the car model segment mostly exists as an “affiliated exhibition area” with very few participating brands. The exhibition scale generally remains at the level of just over ten exhibitors, failing to build an independent industry influence.

The 3rd Greater Bay Area Model Show has taken a different approach.

Leveraging the comprehensive automotive culture ecosystem of APAxpo 2026, this year’s Greater Bay Area Model Show is poised to become the model-themed exhibition with the largest number of participating global automotive model brands worldwide. This scale is not merely the result of expanded exhibitor recruitment; it is built upon two cornerstones: the industrial foundation of the Greater Bay Area, which accounts for 90% of the world’s automotive model production supply, and the full-industry-chain ecosystem of “real vehicles + modification + automotive aesthetics + enthusiasts + scale models” established by APAxpo. For model brands, what they gain here is far more than a booth—it is a channel to engage directly with real-vehicle culture and core enthusiast communities.

Why here, why now? What exactly is the Greater Bay Area? It is the source of 90% of the world’s automobile model production capacity. Every link of the entire industrial chain, from alloy die-casting and resin mold development to painting and packaging, is concentrated in factories across this region. What is APAxpo? Among China’s auto culture exhibitions, it is one of the very few events that integrate “real vehicles, car modification, auto detailing, car models and enthusiasts” into a complete ecosystem. The No.1 Hall’s Wasteland Zone features “not-for-sale” real vehicles, while the Model Show in Hall 4 showcases the “miniature soul” of full-size automobiles.

A top-tier model exhibition must be backed by top-tier automotive culture. Otherwise, it is merely a roadside stall selling goods rather than a genuine showcase. That’s why we can confidently state: what you will witness at this event cannot be found at any other model exhibition—those other shows lack the full industrial chain behind APA covering vehicle modification, performance vehicles, classic cars and enthusiast communities for support.

The biggest game-changer this year: an explosion of brand participation

Compared with the second edition held last year, the number of car model brands exhibiting this year has surged dramatically, covering the following categories:

■ Hundreds of leading global manufacturers of die-cast and resin models (nearly every well-known brand you can name is in attendance)

■ Niche independent overseas brands making their debut public appearance in China

■ A full range of products spanning model dioramas, small-scale figure dolls, wheel and body kit modification parts, second-hand resale flea market, RC drifting models, large-scale collectible replicas, itasha custom builds, as well as military and racing reproductions

The quantity of show-exclusive limited-edition models is unprecedented across all previous expos.

We secured partnerships with numerous brands half a year in advance to bring global debuts, Asia premieres, and three-day-only limited releases to the event. This essentially brings together the “must-grab wishlists” that hobbyists have waited months to get their hands on, all under one roof at APAxpo.

[Major Event] APA King Car Appraisal · Mini Version Don’t let your tiny cars just sit in cabinets Full-size cars have their own arena, while miniature models have their own battlefield APA King Car Appraisal Mini Version — your 1:64 scale models deserve to shine on a grand stage The full-size King Car Appraisal competition takes center stage in Hall 1, with the Mini Version kicking off at the same time. Full-size car enthusiasts modify real vehicles, and model hobbyists tweak scale models — sharing one stage, bound by the same passion.

How to participate? Take out your treasured or custom-modified 1:64 scale car models, upload your modification cases and canvass votes for your works. The top 100 participants will get free on-site exhibition qualifications. Your miniature cars will be displayed alongside other players’ creations in exclusive display cabinets in Hall 1, open to review by car model enthusiasts nationwide. Your model cars will no longer merely be collectibles locked in cabinets. The top-tier judging panel consisting of numerous influential KOLs from the model community will inspect every entry on site and cast comprehensive votes to select the top three winners. They will step onto the main stage and claim cash prizes plus an undisclosed grand mystery award before all participating enthusiasts.

Finally, let me share some heartfelt thoughts. What does over 1,000 show-exclusive collectibles actually mean? If you are a dedicated model collector, it means that even if you attend every model exhibition held throughout the year, you will hardly encounter such a massive concentrated release of limited-edition pieces. Global debuts, Asia-first launches, and 3-day show-only exclusives—every single item is worth your thorough advance research. Therefore, we sincerely advise you: before heading out, carefully go through the list of limited editions and map out your shopping route and budget. With more than 1,000 exclusive models gathered under one roof, a casual stroll won’t let you see everything, and last-minute decisions will leave you unprepared.

We have also heard about the experiences some fans had at other exhibitions last year—event shutdowns, overcrowding and chaotic queuing. To put everyone’s minds at ease: the 3rd Greater Bay Area Model Show will be equipped with the most professional security and crowd flow management system across the entire venue.

Visitors will be admitted in batches with visitor flow limits and dedicated staff for guidance, ensuring every enthusiast can browse exhibits at a leisurely pace and shop with complete peace of mind in a safe and orderly environment. We do not chase the superficial hype of massive crowds; what we truly care about is whether you can leave fully satisfied after your visit.

Over 1,000 limited-edition collectibles stand as a vote of confidence from model brands in APAxpo.

In return, we will make these three days your most memorable shopping spree of 2026.

Get ready, plan your itinerary and bring your shopping list.
